アメリカのアーティスト・Tauba Auerbach氏が世界中に存在するすべての色を集めた本を制作しました。
『RGB Colorspace Atlas』というタイトルのこの本は、20.3 x 20.3 x 20.3cmの立方体。全3632ページでオールカラーのハードカバーです。
An American artist Tauba Auerbach has made a book which has all the colors of the world.
The book is called RGB Colorspace Atlas. It’s 8 x 8 x 8-inch (20.3 x 20.3 x 20.3 cm) and shaped like a cube. It has 3,632 pages, and the covers are hard.
装丁を手がけたのは、デザイナーのDaniel E. Kelmさん。そしてカバーの布地や角の部分は、Auerbach氏によってぼかし処理が施されています。
この本に使われているのは、赤、緑、青の三色です。それぞれその配分が異なるので、ページをめくるごとに色が違って見えるのです。
It’s designed by Auerbach featuring designer Daniel E. Kelm.The books were bound by Kelm assisted by Leah Hughes. The bookcloth and edges of the textblock were airbrushed by Auerbach.
The book comes in three colors; red, green and blue. The colors has been attached differently, so color looks different for each turn of a page.
『RGB Colorspace Atlas』は、MOMAでのグループ展「Ecstatic Alphabets/Heaps of Language」も含めた4つの展示会にて公開されました。こちらのウェブサイトではページごとに色が変わっていく様子をアニメーションで見ることができますよ。
The RGB Colorspace Atlas was included in 4 art exhibitions, and one of them was Ecstatic Alphabets/Heaps of Language. In the website, you can see an animations of the pages color shift.
